If I want to go into child care, what should I do about medical and dental benefits?

I know most babysitting/child care jobs do not offer benefits. are they expensive? is there a way to get cheaper ones if you're in the child care field?

You will have to self insure, which is quite expensive. I would call around and get some quotes.

Buy your own insurance. Emergency care insurance is the most affordable.

Out of all the people I ever worked with there were two options - Get a part time job at a union job where they offer benefits for part timers. You would basically be working for your dues aka your insurance, but it is better than nothing. Get married :)
