How much can i expect in USA as a java deloper?

Hi I am working in IBM India and planning to migrate to US as a java developer, I am having 2 yrs of experience and had good java/j2ee skills, So how much package can i expect in US for me. because most of the companies asking me to write expected CTC ( cost to the company).Please help me out.

You will definitely succeed in USA if you are doing well at IBM in India. I would suggest staying in India though. The SW market there is currently great. You don't want to leave all that to move anywhere else. As far as US is concerned, your earnings will depend on your visa and experience. Minimum is $40K to $75K for a junior to mid-level developer.

While the exact figure varies from business to business, if you find someone who needs java you will make enough off of it to live happily, however, to increase you chances of getting a good high paying job you need more languages under your belt, try C++ or similar. Even cobolt is better than nothing.
