I live in California and looking do become an professional medical Billing Specialiest. Was wondering if somebody could recoment a good course that would teach me everything I need to know. I dont mind paying I just want to make sure that I will get my money worth. Thank you.

I have been a Medical Billing/coder for many years. When I started, it wasn't necessary to have any schooling in that field. But times have changed. I would not go with an on line course. You're best choice would be thru a local community college or junior college. They have very good in depth classes. I have learned so much on coding over the years, but am going to go ahead for the certification. I have talked with a lot of people who have gone to different shools and are supposedly "certified". I have trained them, and I can tell you, the ones that went to the community college and junior college classes are top notch.
