You're too young to legally work in most states but you can baby-sit. I did for a long time and made fairly good money. I would try going to the local (in walking distance) elementary schools and posting ads on the bulletin board for an "experienced and responsible after school care". Offer to walk the child home from school and have them do homework with you until their parents get home. This way the parents will feel justified to pay you a little more since you'll be helping "tutor" ;) After you get one child and are comfortable offer to take on another friend or neighbor child. You should charge 7-8 per child with the homework factor (2 kids 7.50 per = 15.00 per hr not bad for 14 yr old ;) Good Luck!

with parents permission u could probably do part time work at a McDonalds...thats where alot of young kids start out..but at the same time your school has to know also..if that is not to your liking..u could always do odd jobs in your nieghborhood...like mow lawns for the old folks who can't get around to much..or babysit young kids..

Some schools even have programs that let their students work for them doing odds and ends. Ask someone in your school's office if they have any work programs for students.

Some states require a work permit for anyone under age 18. Start by finding out if your state requires one or not. Once you have it, if needed, then start canvassing nearby and safe places that might interest you.
