About a year or so. They make from 15 to 25 an hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

It probably helps to have played at least college sports to be a sports coach, but a higher degree probably is not necessary. To be a master (professional) coach, you usually have to be an assistant for a long time in college

you don't have to go to school for any of them. a carpenter starts out swinging a hammer and only becomes a master by learning the tricks of the trade, you can coach sports, as a volunteer for little league, or other sports but it pays only in respect if you are any good, animal training pay on your worth, as a trainer.
