What is the difference between years of work experience and years of direct experience?
Asked by yates88_99
Is work experience defined as the time from my very first job until now? If I am a cad operator, does direct experience define the number of years I have been a drafter? Or is it the time I began specializing in a certain field of drafting? (i.e. electrical, civil, architectural)

Best Answer:
Years of Work Experience deals with the number of years that are related to the paticular field...and Years of Direct Experience deal with the number of years that are specific job at hand...

A:
Direct experience is the number of years you have work specializing in a certain field of drafting? (i.e. electrical, civil, architectural). This would also be years of experience performing the same tasks and levels ask asked for in a employment ad or job description. Years of work experience is a much broader definition where all years of gainful employment are counted.
