At 30 i feel i got stuck in my career as Maintenance Engineer- , tell me as to how to get up the career ladder

Electrical Engineer with a manufacturing concern.There is not much growth out there financially too.

Do you have any interest in getting an MBA at night? Your company might pay for it too. How attached to maintenance engineering are you? I would think there will always be growth in electrical engineering. If you got the MBA, and have an engineering background, I think you would have many options. Or....look for a new job somewhere else....that's usually a good way to make more $$$. Good Luck!

Make a career plan. Determine where you want to be in 1 year, 5 years and 10 years. Set real goals. Plan your work and work your plan. Once you have this done you should get rid of your debt. Then make your move.

My best answer is DO NOT stay at the same place for more than a year, if your not moving up the ladder. Always be on the look out for other jobs that will help you climb the professional ladder. Always follow your first instinct.
