You could do a search for newspapers in the area then go to their sites and look in the classifieds. Gives you a better aspect of what that area is looking for than going to a big named job website like Monster or anything.

I know it's tough making the transition from military to civilian job. Here's a site that will give you some advice on making the transition. I can also say that maybe you would do well working applying for a job with the city of Jacksonville. Or maybe going into DEA, or Department of Homeland Security (DHS) or U.S. Marshal. These are good not just because they can probably use your knowledge and some skills but because as far as retirement goes, I believe that they will count your years in the military into the job that you work in, at least that's true with DHS,so say you were in the military for 6 yrs and you work with DHS for 20 years, than they consider those 6 yrs of your military experience and add them to the number of years you work with DHS. I'm not so sure about US Marshals or DEA, but I have heard that a lot of retired military are going into these type jobs. Best of luck to you in your search.
