I have a BA in environmental studies and political science, what can I do with little previous experience?
Asked by lost in translation
I graduated from a private college in rural PA in May with a huge debt and I cannot find a job. My GPA was only 2.89 but I received all A's and B's in my courses, except my science classes, which were minimal. I peer taught college courses for three semesters in political science and was president of the environmental club for 3 yrs. I was resident advisor in my residence hall and a member of student government for a few semesters. I could obtain great references from professors when I find a job. I love to teach and I am a good leader, but I do not have a teaching certificate.
I have searched and searched for a job, but it seems that everyone wants experience or more education, and besides that, I do not know what I am qualified for.
Thank you.

Just to get your feet wet in the working world you could get your certification in Environmental Waste Treatment and work a few years to build up your resume until you find something else you would like to do. Many businesses either have in-house waste treatment facilities or send out waste to companies that specialize in it.
