What are the requirements needed to get a social security number?

i would need to get a social security number in order to be able to find a decent job.
How about a state ID, woud i need to get that too to be able to find a job?,,If so, how much would it cost me to get one?,,,Also, please tell me how much would it cost me to get a social security number? Please reply.

If you were born in the states, you should already have a Social Security Number.
If you weren't, when you applied for citizenship, you would have been given one.
As far as a state ID, you would just need to go to your local DMV and request one, although they will probably require a copy of your Birth Certificate and Social Security Card.

i assume you are not a citizen otherwise you are issued a # when you are born...this #may help you get started even though it is for citizens
To verify information with the SSA, citizens may call (800) 772-1213 oh and ssns are free of charge

Go to the drivers license office and take you birth certificate and get an ID. then take your birth certificate and ID to the social security office and they will file for one.

YOU SHOULD OF HAD SOCIAL SECURITY CARD, NOT A NUMBER. SINCE YOU WHERE A TEENAGER OR EVEN YOUNGER. SOUNDS LIKE YOU NOT A LEGAL CITIZEN. CAN NOT ANSWER YOUR QUESTION.
