What is the corect way to add college to your resume?

Best Answer:
Any schooling, whether it's on the job, college, etc. goes with the education section. If you are within a year or less of graduating, you can put down your expected graduation date. For example: XYZ School B.S. Marketing December 2006 An employer reading this on July 10, 2006 would know that you haven't graduated yet, but will be shortly. If you list the dates as 2003 to 2006, which some suggest, then the employer thinks you're still in school, but it doesn't indicate that you'll be graduating. All it really says is that you're being trained. This is why I tend to suggest putting the expected graduation date, so the employer knows that you'll soon be done with your schooling. Resume writing isn't an exact science, there's plenty of opinion, which is why there's no one correct way to do it. But my way definitely tells the employer that you're nearly done, which will definitely separate you out from those further away and still in school.
