How can people older than 25 get into the plumbing trade without paying out for training themselves?

Do you approach a company and ask them if they'll train you? Anyone know about the expected salary etc?

i am 27 and have been trying to find out how to get an adult apprenticeship and phoned learn direct and they told me that because i live in scotland the government dont fund any training schemes but in england there was 1 place in linconshire. but you should give them a phone for more details.

get a job as a hepler........... 8- 10 dollars an hour

Why not approch a good plumbing company and ask them if you could become an appy! How ever in order to be qualified you will need to take a trade exam!

get yourself a white van - make up a name e.g. "Bob's Plumbing Services" find some old lady customers and just nip up to B&Q when you need some stuff - you'll make a fortune.
