How much do limousine drivers get paid?
Asked by m-cha
so when I graduate from high school and then from college I think the first (of many) businesses I'm gonna open up is going to be a private limo/helicopter rental. so, I need to know: how much will I have to pay my drivers? how much do they make a year of they work full-time as limo drivers? what about private helicopter pilots?

Where do you live? Where do you plan to live when you start the limousine service?
In some areas of the country, limousine drivers make barely more than minimum wage and then rely on tips to pay the taxes (or vice versa). In other areas, limo drivers can expect some pretty good pay.
Research your market well before you open the limo service. The places where drivers don't get paid much might not have much call for the limousines.
Good luck with school and with your career.

It doesn't matter....because
1) After college you'll hump a crappy job and will have forgotten about this long ago, and
2) You're talking a minimum of five years down the road, and salaries and demands will change by then...so don't worry about it.

Good luck. One time I was driving a limo to make some ends meet and after 6 months did an analysis and found that including all the time I spent waiting around my pay worked out to $2 an hour. I gave it up not long after that. It just wasn't worth it at all.
