Have you considered doing home parties? They're a lot of fun, you work at home most of the time, but still get to get out and interact with people-- important for moms! I know many of them have low start up costs and some have ways for you to earn your starter kit for free.
I wanted to be a work at home mom, so I explored a lot of options, decided I wanted to do home parties, and chose Passion Parties. For me it was a great choice, and I haven't looked back (been doing them for 2 years!). You can start for as little as $100 and can set your own schedule. I also have ways for people to earn their kit for free. We have mostly female consultants, but have a growing number of male consultants as well.
I like it because, yes, it is a MLM company, but I was making great money even before I started building a team. You don't have to recruit at all if you don't want to. I earn 40% profit on my sales, and even more in cash sales bonuses. I also like that I don't have to wait for a check, I get my profit immediately. I am still able to raise my daughter and don't have to worry about sick days, day care, or time off for appointments or maternity leave (I'm currently expecting #2!) and that eases a lot of stress.
Even if this isn't the right plan for you, there are SO many different companies out there, you can probably find one that suits you, your interests, and your lifestyle. Just make sure to do a lot of research before you give ANYONE your time or money!
Good luck!

Sure, for an entry level position.

Maybe. It would be best to leave out the homemaker part. I would wait to be asked what I am doing now to relate that. It does not have to be a part of your resume', however, I do acknowledge and respect that running a household is a very demanding and important job.

In a heartbeat. Target is allways hiring. The trick is to get that specific opening filled. Make sure that the place that you go to has the opening that your looking for! See if the surrounding locations do too!

I would if I was looking for a receptionist but I would also be curious as to what goes on at home aside from raising a two year old child that makes it so busy.
An objective would be what you want to do to improve yourself, kind of selling yourself.
Is the receptionist job the only one you have had? If not, indicate how many wpm you can type. Other than that it's fine.

If you sent me this CV I would not consider you. I could easily find someone more qualified.
You have 4 months experience before a maternity leave. Surely you have more work experience? Summer jobs? Your degree is online, so I would put in your highschool education or any vocational training you have had.
If your CV is this bare you have add details...
Computer Skills
Languages written and spoken
Volunteer work
Interests/Hobbies
You have to put in something that will help you compete with the others out there. Is there something that sets you apart?
Your cover letter will have to sell you and make you appear the better choice over people that have more experience than you.
You'll need a personal and business reference if you can get one.

I would just say homemaker and student for June 05 to present and they should get the point and i agree that you should give your wpm if you have ever tested it, you might also want to list what computer programs you are familiar with, Microsoft Office and Windows, and intrepreting software, etc.

Tonya,
def leave out the stay at home part, or reword to indicate the responsibilities that you had in a more professional manner.
Pretend taking care of your family was a business and take the tasks you had (errands, cleaning, cooking, health care, etc) and reword them in to taks you might do at an office.
As far as the objective goes, it should state what type of work you are seeking in what kind of company.
"High paced, organized, and motivated administrative assistant seeks full-time position with an established (company, firm, etc.) to aid in organization, effeciency, and over all running of company. etc etc.
You should separate the bilingual part from the rest of your experience and list what qualifies you as bilingual and mention what the second language is.
Once you do that, print your resume on thicker than normal paper, perferably grey or a tan/peach color. Nothing to crazy, just to make it stand out.
And yes, I would hire you.

I'm going to be really blunt with you.
Drop all the stuff about having a 2 year old and a "busy" household. It would make me think of all the times you are probably going to call in sick because your kid is sick or you have to take care of something in your "busy" household.
When I hire someone, I want to know what they are going to do for me and not what they are doing for everyone else (their family, etc).
Since you have very little experience, you need to mention how organized you are, how well you get along with everyone, what a fast learner you are, how you pay attention to detail, how punctual and reliable you are, how cheerful you are, what a great phone voice you have, etc ... Make me want to hire you with your great attitude and good work ethic.
Beef up your resume with all your computer and software skills.
Mention what language besides english you are fluent in. Don't assume people will know what language it is.
Good luck with your search.
