I would hire you if I needed a server for a party that was catered. I would hire you if I needed a translator. (Even though I wouldn't hire anyone that couldn't speak English anyway.) I would also hire you if I needed a secretary. I would not hire you if I needed a nurse, radiologist, or tutor for my kids.

Your objective should be a sentence, not different words. If you're working on an AA degree, why do this? Why not work for a company that'll pay more and have hands on experience for what you want to do in the future. It's hard to get your foot in the door; I'd start now if I were you.

hire you ? it depends on what kind of job. I recommend you stick to one type of job field.Make different resumes .If i was to hire you for a general office assistant I would care less how many years you've been cooking. Same applies if i was t o hire you as a cafeteria worker. They are totally diferent grounds .Make two different resumes only apply assets that are similiar to your objective .And under objective write mainly why you want the job , not what kind of job. example. I'm looking to acquire and enhance my skills in the clerical field .To provide great customer service and to extend my experience working in an office setting. good luck bp

If I had a position available, I would certainly put you in my pile of candidates to interview. You would still have to interview well for me to hire you. You should be smiling and enthusiastic about the position; you should be dressed appropriately; your body language should be appropriate... sitting up straight, slightly leaning forward (shows interest) and hands folded on your lap; you should be able to communicate well; if you are nervous, tell me so... it makes you human and works more in your favor than against you; reflect a bit on each question instead of impulsively answering... I want a thoughtful employee. Your resume is an excellent first start, but I don't hire resumes... I hire people. If your interviewing skills are as good as your resume, I would hire you.
