How to build a career in Human Resources with a Labor Relations Degree?
Asked by lovej20
I graduated from college with a BA degree in Labor and Industrial Relations in 2004. I am planning on going back home to New York City to begin find a job in Human Resources that I can lead to a career in a speciality. Does any one know if HR pays really well for a entry-level position and if they are any good HR agencies in New York City.

I work in HR and entry-level positions anywhere pay about mid-range (30,000-40,000). In regards to labor relations I would suggest a master's degree as well. The master's programs I am familiar with focus more in depth into the HR/Labor Relations realm. I am based out of Chicago so I am not familiar with any agencies in NY. Best wishes and I have found HR to be a rewarding career.
