Call a local junior college or university & ask to talk to a career counselor. Ask them about the educational requirements and the cost, as well as what the job market is like. I am an RN. If I had to choose a different career, I would school in physical therapy. Great money and job opportunity. But if you prefer Respiratory Therapy, the job market is not quite as lucrative, but it can be rewarding. Glad to see you persue a career with longivity in mind. The elderly are living longer & longer due to improved medical technology. Those who choose a career that cater to their needs, will do well. Good luck!

Excellent !! There is a big demand. My mom is an RN and was in Resp. She was head nurse, so she knew everything that was going on. It is in high demand. You'll never be out of a job.
