Can someone tell me what the difference is between a construction manager and a project manager?

This is for residential contruction Thanks for answers. Can you please tell me what the difference is between a Construction Foreman and a Project Manager is.

Generally, a construction manager is more of an "office" or "paperwork" guy. The scheduling, cost controls, safety and such while a PM is expected to know (or delegate) all this as well as the actual construction, in detail, of the given project (s).

A construction manager deals directly with the workers at the site. A project manager deals very closely with the customer, the architects, and the subcontractors. A construction manager is considered blue collar, while a project manager is considered white collar.
