How many hours to be considered a fulltime employee in Oregon?

There is no actual law that defines "full time" status. It depends on what your employer classifies as full time. Many use 30 hrs./week. Full time employees are typically covered by the employer's benefit plans, while part-timers are not. The important thing is for you to look at the actual plan document--ask for a copy because you have a federal right to receive it upon request.

It depends on the company really. When I worked for KFC I was working part time to start out and that was 30 hours a week, but when I was working for BP, they considered 30 hours to be full time, which I think is lame and misleading. Full time should be considered 35-40 hours.
