One Confused Fund Accountant?

I am working as a fund accountant and i dont want to end up in this job forever. My goal is to work in public accounting. Will my private accounting experience help me on landing a job in public accounting ? If not is there anyway i can do to change it?? Thank You

Do have a CPA or are you studying for it? How old are you? Are you doing accounting for a Mutual Fund Company? Do you want to work for Big 4 or any public accounting firm?
