Become a server at a restaurant. If you're good, that's pretty much the best no experience job you can get. Also, some grocery stores offer large bonuses if you put in a lot of time, so check that out if you REALLY can't get a better job than that. But, in all honesty, I think you're not being creative enough with your options.

oh too bad - i could help if you lived in texas - lol - good luck tho. i will say that there are plenty of opportunities out there and a college education isn't imperative to succeed in America - regardless of what others say - if you hear from others that college is mandatory for success - they took the easy way out. Although, college is a good stepping stone for most - it's not for everyone so don't feel you are alone.

Have you thought about going back to school for something more promising? Some retail outlets will pay (or reimburse) your tuition. Just a thought.. If higher education isn't the thing for you, then I guess you might look into a future career as a grocery clerk.

There is no shortcut to getting a "real" job. Every employer is looking for dependible, honest people who show up for work. Find a local company who is in the service business. They are always looking for entry level people. Grab one of those jobs and give it 100%. I am a firm believer in working your way up. That beats the crap out of going to college and getting in debt for $50,000

Why don't you start your own business? It is real inexespensive to start up with the company I am with and you have the opportunity to make thousands of dollars a month. You can do your clerk job and this part time, for now, then go full time once you make the amount you want to quit your job. Let me know what you think.

I think you can do better than a cashier or grocery clerk. Try being a teller at a bank. Normally, it only requires a HS diploma, basic math skills, and a clean record. It pays better than some other jobs and you can advance within the branch or transfer. Starting Pay is usually $8-$11 dollars an hour. Good luck.
