Tis is hard to judge because it depends on where you live. $9.00 to $10.00 would be accepteable where I live. I live in Florida on the Space Coast. In Harrisburg, PA, where I started out, it was the same. I now make $13.70/hour and expect to be jumped to $15.00 in November. This is with 3 years of experience under my belt and no education.

Depending on your locale... I'd go with about 9 or 10 bucks an hour. My mom had an associate's degree in secretarial work.. funny isn't it? That used to be a degree back in the 70s. Anyway, the most she ever made, with her years of experience, was about 12 dollars an hour. So I'd say 9 maybe even lower.. again... depends on your location. If you're in more of a metro area, than you could get away with asking for more. If you live in a small community. Good luck getting more than 7 or 8 an hour.

I think that would depend on what state you are in. The cost of living and wages earned varies by state. In Ca. the going rate might be around $15.00 but in NC it would be more like $9.00.

There is a difference between a bookkeeper and an accountant. A bookkeeper has about two years of school and an accountant has about four years. I am a bookkeeper and my start pay was around 15 an hour as far as an accountant goes the pay is around 40,000 a year. Most places will only hire if you have had prior experience or schooling. They will not go with people that have just read books.

I would say about $10 or $12 an hour. All depends on what job your doing too. Accounting is very diverse job category-accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll or inventory control.

Depends on location. $10 to $15 is about the range. It also depends on duties - big accounting office (low) or assistant to a single CPA (high).

If you are just starting, maybe about $12 US. However, once you have a good 5 years experience you could probably go up to $17-18.
