where can I find a farm laborer?

Go to your local day labor place. Find some illegals. Since they are illegal, you can pay them less than minimum wage. Most medium to large city's have these places. I did that when we built my garage. It worked great, once we overcame the language barrier.

Try your nearest home depot, Lowe's and lumber or hardware store, workers on the corner.

Check at your local farm co-op or supply store and see if they recommend someone local who is looking for work. Or ask one of your farmer neighbors if they have any extras now.
