How do I find work as a cook or chef on an oil rig platform?

if any of you know the websites for the oil companies HR depts. that would be cool

Apply with the company that owns the rig. Show them your culllinary skills and ask them if there are jobs available.

actually there are no kitchens on oil rig platforms.its quite messy at times plus it wouldnt pass food inspection authorities.

well I know there are kitchens on rigs because I used to work for a co that supplied the food to the Marina supplier that supplies great lakes vessels and great lakes gas rigs try monster, workopolis, hot jobs and maybe do some research at the local employment office also, I know the city that i live in has features and attractions in our city, maybe try alaska govenment web site

Kind of what Stickman said - except when you call, just ask directly: "How do you staff your kitchens on the rigs?" If they hire direct, ask how to apply. If they go through an agency (which is my guess), ask what agencies they use - then go to those agencies and start applying. All ya gotta do is ask!
