Any job that: 1) knows you want part-time and have children 2) makes you happy .

It should be a job where you can make your own hours and if you dont get the work done today you can get it done tomorrow. That's the kind of job my mom has.

A friend of mine sells real estate. She has 3 children and says it works well for her. You have to put effort into it--you're either good at it, or not. Pass or fail.

A home party plan. This is basically your business with company backing behind you. I do lia sophia jewelry. I work around my family schedule - as much or as little per week as I want - I make a great income, earn trips (which children are welcome to come on), rewards, incentives, and much more. And the parties are fun!! What women doesn't love jewelry, especially when it comes with a life time guarantee!! Real Estate, you control your hours - and most of them are at home.

A:
Being an elementary school teacher is definitely the best. It's one of the few that allows you to be home when your kids are...and you get to work with kids all day, something all women enjoy. Nursing wouldn't be bad either because you can pick your own hours and never have to worry about being unemployed because of shortage in the field. I would encourage all morthers who need to work to have one of those jobs.

A Day care center.

A:
Look for employers who have family oriented options at work. Some example are places where they provide day care right on the premises. These jobs are much harder to find than one might think but they do exist. Though I am not suggesting it the US Air Force is very mom friendly. Check out hospitals, gymnasiums, daycare centers and school. Good Luck Jon

Years ago I worked breakfast and lunch hours at a school. I enjoyed spending the time with the children, but I was still home when my kids arrived home from school. I even had the summer months, to be with my own children!

There is a book, you can probably find in the library, titled, "The Best 100 Companies to Work For." It gives all the benefits of each company. That way you can find which one best suits your particular needs. I hope this helps, as it shows locations all over the USA.

I am a teacher, and I am home every day before my kids get off of the bus. I am off every weekend and most holidays. I usually know what is going on in the schools and have instant access to any of their teachers. The downside is the pay. The pay isn't great, but as far as I am concerned, my children are more important than money.

A:
Sorry there is no such JOB. If you get a JOB outside the house, the employer will expect you to be there when you say you are and regardless of what your reasons are, they CAN legally fire you if you take too much time off. Try babysitting or daycare IN the home.

I am a mom to a 2 1/2 year old and one on the way. I work part time at the local gym at the service desk. I check guests in, sign people up for the different classes/programs, get to chatter with other moms, and not to mention get a free gym membership! I love it, it works great with my husbands work and school schedule. I love the people that work there and as well as the people that work out there. The owners encourage to get to know our members and treat them like they are guests in our own home. Its great! I suggest looking into working a gym.

work somewhere in the school district. my mom worked as a computer assistant when I was in elementary school and then as a library assitant when I was in middle school. She got all vacations off with us, snow days, and we didn't have to talk to the nurse when we needed advil and go through the grueling questions. Now that my sister and I are older my mom has a higher-paying jb with more hours. But we can handle it now. It was nice having her around as I was growing up.

gardening's good, especially if he's into it... I really guess it's good coz it helps release the tention and she gets to talk to them (if she wants to...)... But i suggest that she have it in a "not-so-hot" place so she won't get tired easily... Gardening flowers and bosai, or orchids will do good...

What about selling makeup? Or being a "mystery shopper" for certain stores? Sorry I don't have any info on these things. I just thought of them. You could probably go to a Mary Kay,Avon, etc. website to learn more about selling from your home if you're interested in that.
Answered by imaknightangel

A:
My daughter has 3 children and she went to work at a day care so she could take her kids with her, get an income and not pay day care. She knew where her kids were and that they were safe, and could check in on them when she wanted to. If they are in school at least part of the day you can look for a position with a company that uses job sharing which hires 2 people for the same position so its flexible between you and covered at all times. One of you work morning and the other works evenings. You could also start a cleaning service like I have and make more money per hour than you ever thought possible.

Day care provider. You can bring your kids with you and include them in the group. My daughter does this with her new baby. It's mom friendly, but does expose the baby to all those nasty kid germs.
