What is your opinion on female truck drivers?

I LOVE to drive and I used to travel with my mom and her husband when they went on the road. I think it is something I would love to do. The thing is, I am a girly girl and I don't exactly fall into that type of job category. wow old lady, lol, best answer WAS going to go to you, but all i was suggesting about the girly girlness was the i was afraid to be alone on the road b/c i have listened to plenty of CB conversations and there are some real lonely creeps out there. sorry to disappoint you, but i wasnt even thinking anything about lesbians. ill leave that to you. lol.

calm down old lady. stop jumping to conclusions. if you love to drive then drive. if you are afraid of being alone, just take safety precautions like... carry pepper spray on your keychain, and only pump gas in daylight ours if possible. and of course always lock your doors, yada yada yada. i remember when i rode w/ my mom, we got in our truck after pumping gas and the cb was going crazy with really femimnist remarks and how hot we are how nice our asses were and some were even asking where we were headed and stuff like that. youll just have to ignore it or turn your cb off. that crap will happen.

There's no reason why you can't be a truck driver. Female truck drivers are far more common than they used to be. You don't have to be "butch" to do it, either. Just be prepared for some snide comments, and know how to defend yourself, if needed. Hope this helps!

nothing wrong with it, you need to be a little mechanically incline truck drivers dont just sit behind a wheel . thier might be little problems that you would have to attend to

There's more and more driver 'teams' now because more and more trucks have automatic transmissions. It's a pretty neat lifestyle, actually, driving around the country with your spouse.

Okay. Let's think about this for a minute. You LOVE to drive and think it's something you would like to do as a career. What's stopping you? I'm not sure what the girly-girl comment is all about. Are you suggesting that all female truck drivers are lesbians? Because if that's what you think, you're 'way out in left field. Most of the truck drivers, male or female, are just ordinary people. Some are married, some are single, some have kids, some don't. The only thing they all have in common is that they have learned how to handle those big rigs that keep our nation's businesses going. If you want to be a truck driver, get the training and be one. But for sure, don't throw innuendos against other women in the field. They've had the gumption to go out and do it, not sit around and complain because they are too girly-girl to handle it.
