What is the minumum age for working at a Target store?

I'm turning seventeen next week and I'm looking for work. I really don't want to work at a fast food place like everyone else. I love Target; does anyone know if you have to be eighteen to work there? Are there any suggestions for good stores (national or local, I live in Western New York) that hire seventeen year olds?

You only have to be sixteen. Plus it is fun! Just be open and suffer through the application. Fast, fun, friendly service

Sixteen, probably. At any rate, if you're seventeen you can work there. And if you're looking for work, just find a mall and wander around asking for applications.

Kroger hires 16 and up I believe, definitely a 17 year old can work there.... Starting wage for cashiers is $6.10 for 1st and 2nd shift. It's a union job so it should be the same wage nationally.... They have a ton of different sister stores and you can apply online to most. http://www.kroger.com/careers.htm
If you are 17 you will have problem working at ANY retail job you want. Most of them hire 16 and up. With the holiday shopping seaon approaching you will be in demand.

there are some 16 year olds working at my store so you should be old enough unless there is some state law where you live
