what is an assistant guest services manager and sales coordinator suppose to do?

I was just hired as an assistant guest services manager and sales coordinator of a hotel. This position was made for me @ this paticular location. I dont want to disappoint my GM but I really dont know where to start any suggestions or definitions to define what I am suppose to actually be doing?

It varies from hotel to hotel. Actually the Hr department is supposed to brief you about your job.You have to act as a GRE like checking of ready room ensures that all amenities are placed . You also should meet as much as staying guest in the hotel find out whether they are happy during their stay.All feedback should be informed to the concerned HOD as well as to GM.As sales coordinator you have to coordinate with sales on the queries related to rooms and arrivals for the hotel.
