I'm planning to move to South America for a job. What are the opportunities like for design engineers?
Asked by aziz_unreal79
I design busses, trucks, trains and also consumer products. How's the job market like in Venezuela, Chile, Argentina and Brazil for someone with this skill? Is Espanol a must? P.S.: If leave for South America, there'll be a vacancy in my company in Malaysia for an Engineering Manager so give me some good answers guys!

You need to be fluent in Portuguese if you move to Brazil (The second richest country in America after Canada) or spanish if you move to Mexico (The third richest country in America after Canada and Brazil) You don't want to move to Venezuela, Chile, Argentina or any other poor country.

There are lots of jobs if you have the right skill. Espanol is not required but it is very helpful if you want to get along in the city after office hours.
