electrician courses help please?

i was just wondering what courses you have to take in highschool to be an electrician. i took grade 12 physics college, technology college math, wood working course and drafting but i dont want to take drafting but i heard you have to take drafting to read blueprints and stuff is this true do you really have to take drafting in highschool also how do you get into union pay for industrial electrician thanks for the help i appreciate it

go to your local vocational training schools web site, they should have the classes on the web site and if not, ask one of the advisers from the schools web site good luck
