DO NOT quit your job until you have another one ready and waiting for you. It is easier to get a job when you already have one. Go to your local one stop (former unemployment/employment office), get signed up with the job matching system they have available (all should be free of charge) and start from there. Update your resume, or if you don't have one, get one made. Then start posting it online. Good luck!!

Hi Vegadarkstorm,
I hope you will read this carefully.
Firstly, do not waste money studying diplomas or degrees given your situation. There are many opportunities in internet marketing and (Search Engine Optimization - SEO)because everybody wants their website to be ranked No.1.
You might want to explore into that. I must warn you that there are a lot of guru's out there who are selling junk and you'd be wasting your time buying e-books and all those kind of stuffs.
My recommendation is for you to join some of the really good SEO forums. Just ask and the forummers are always ready to help you. Your ultimate aim should be to start your own internet business ultimately. Let not your circumstance or your education background hold you back.
I can relate to you because I did not have much education and married at the age of 21 and became a father at 22. The most important thing is your drive to succeed.

Remember this important quote.
'You Are What You Want To Be' - Edmund Ng
You are a garbage collector because you choose to be a garbage collector. Nobody ever takes a gun and point on your head to take up the job. It's good that you are already thinking of changing your life at the age of 22. I seriously started reading at the age of 27 (The first real book I read was Rich Dad, Poor Dad), but I feel is crappy because not everybody has a chance to start off with 100,000 and no bank pays 10% interest now. But nonetheless, it's a good book to get you started.
Going back to the quote, You Are What You Want To Be. Remember, Bill Gates could have enjoyed his teenage years spending time with babes, proms...etc but he chose to bury himself with software programming and spend a large chunk of his time at the garage.
