What exactly is a sales route driver? Is it a salesman or a delivery man?
Asked by fallguy2004
Or is it both. Is it good pay? I dont think I would be good at the sales stuff but delivery would be good. Please give the details of this job. Thanks in advance

If the job is for Lay's or Pepsi, its a bit of both. Pretty much they assign you a route to drive, you go by once or twice a week to get the order and the same to deliver. Your pay depends on how much of the product they sell vs return to you. If your working for Pepsi the pay is great. Lays tends to be about 500 a week if your lucky due to returns.

You're correct in that it is indeed both. Consider the Schwann man... he makes deliveries, but he also let's you know about special deals and makes suggestions for other items to purchase. I know for a fact that these sales route drivers make anywhere from $40K-50K on average. If it's a good route, even more.
