I am a Legal Secretary in Chicago with 16 years of experience, mainly in the Corporate Transactional sector. I need to know if my salary is competitive or what is the going rate for my years of experience and the going rate for a lawfirm with 42 lawyers. Thank you.

I know my mother is a legal secretary not too far from you, in Indianapolis, with a large firm that has a branch in Chicago - her salary, I believe, is around $35K - but she's been at this for 20 years. I don't think you're going to get paid REAL well, but you'll make a descent living. Good luck!
