where do i find training or apprenticeship to work at the humane society?

Years ago I wanted to be a veterinarian and it wasn't to be, now I'm older and no children left at home and am disatisified with my life. I have always love animals especially horses and would now like to work with the humane society to help abused and neglected animals. I am currently unemployed so would need something like an apprenticeship or something to get me some experience.

Alot of animal shelters have a volunteer program. Contact your local shelters and ask.
