Why is getting into Veterinary Medicine so hard in WI?
Asked by i_luv_jackrussells
I live in Wisconsin, and I went to school to be a trained veterinary assistant (graduated in 2004) and have had a very difficult time getting a job. And when I did get one, it was for very little pay. Just wondering if that is the case in other states? I don't know if it's just the region I live in or if it's an issue in other regions as well. After looking for a decent job, going on three years, and meeting toomany dead ends i have decided to pursue another career field. I am wondering if there are any others out there who have left the veterinary field for the same reasons. It's something that I wanted to do, but lack of jobs and pay forced me out of the field. I am going into Criminal Justice. One of my other career interests was becoming a police officer. I have always been interested in the military/law enforcement field.
