What's the job description of a database administrator & network administrator?

I think they are free all the time, or actually, they're not busy as accountants or warehouse managers, or developers, they're just make regular tasks everyday, without even thinking, Am I right ?!

I don't think there is one standardized description for these jobs. Database administrators can be very busy in that they have to insure the company's data is safe. This could easily be a full time job. Network Administrator also can have a full time job. Any decently sized network has constant threats from hackers, internal snoopers, rogue wireless connections, redundant equipment, etc. You implied the same person is doing both jobs in your company. If they are doing their job correctly and your network/database is of a significant size, this person is easily doing 8 hours of work a day. Mike Honeycutt
