This_be_me
how do you make it big in the interior design business?
Asked by This_be_me
My plan for interior design is while in high school take seperate courses at a community college on business management. While going to school i'd prepare to get a job at the Home Expo to learn more about design. During college for interior design and business I'd start my own business while working at a seperate job. Then once I made enough money I'd buy fixer up houses, then sell them after fixing them. Now my question is, if you have any opinions on where to go what classes to take and excatly what I should do. could you please specify them in an answer. I'm very serious about this and have thought it throughly I just need details. Thanks

Well, I have to admit I think about making it big, I think more along the lines of being a famous designer. Still, I would suggest you start working for a long term goals Think about what would it take to get getting an intern at a major design firm or publisher; to go to a school with a well known interior design department; or enter and win a design contest. In the mean time, I was going to suggest reading as much as you can on the subject and learning from others examples. (for example, http://www.interiordesign.net/) I look at the professional websites and check for accredited programs. http://www.accredit-id.org/accreditedprograms.html http://www.iida.org/i4a/pages/index.cfm?pageid=1 http://www.asid.org/
