Asked by mercenaryboy72450
Should the housewife do it all or should the hard-working husband help out after working 40+ hours per week?

well...depends on the kind of job the husband has...if he is sitting at a computer all day and comes home to his wife who has been taking care of a 19 month old and is 9 months pregnant with the second child, i think the husband should help out. being a stay at home mom is a job too, and it is a 24 hour a day job. i think the realtionship is a whole lot better if the husband helps out the wife, they can spend more time together if the chores get done faster anyway!! well good luck!!

The homemaker is responsible for the greater portion of homekeeping. A masculine man, however, won't want his cute, feminine little wife completing heavy chores, such as moving larger furniture pieces, building things, anything that requires masculine strength or that is unfeminine.

Not to sound chauvinistic, if a woman can be chauvinistic, but if a wife doesn't have a job outside the house and her husband works all week, she should be doing what she's supposed to do and take care of her home. Old fashioned? I suppose. But if you get right down to it, it's just the right thing to do. Now, if the woman also works, then a compromise may be in order. I work part time and do all of the housework, laundry and cooking. I do it because I love him and want to make his life a little easier.
