Is it worth it? (Certified National Pharmaceutical Representative)?

I would like to get into pharmaceutical sales, but I basically have no experience in business to business or outside sales and my college degree has nothing to do with healthcare. Is it worth it to take an online course/training program to become a certified pharmaceutical sales representative? Will pharmaceutical companies take that into consideration?

They might like it (I'm a rep with 14 years experience), but it's not necessary. I think I've met one person who had one in 14 years. You're better off getting some sales experience first - they value results more than the certificate. It won't hurt you, but it might not help either.
