If you want to carry on working in the printing industry then I have some good news for you. There is a Belgian Company called Casterman Printing (part of the Evadix Group) who are looking to expand into the UK in January 2007, they are looking to be located in the South-East and in Birmingham. I know for definite that there will be lots of jobs available and that as they are new to the UK, any experience you can offer them in way of knowledge of the UK printing industry and how things are done over here will be really appreciated. I have an adobe acrobat pdf file on them that I can email to you if you put your email address in the additional details part of your question. Good luck :)

I do not think the printing industry is finished, in my opinion it has become even better. I think you need to go back to school and learn computer graphics. This way you can incoporate your printing experience and become even a versatile employee what most are looking for.

It doesn't seem like traditional printing has a very good future. You probably should retrain in computer aided design or computer graphics.
