What type of postal health care should I pick?
Asked by
Ok, so I just made PTF, I'm looking through all the different health care plans and I feel like I'm trying to learn a new language. I'm a single 25 year old with no health problems so far but I do a lot of risky activities (ie..snowboard,ATVs,etc....) I don't mind paying a little higher monthly premium to insure I wouldn't pay a fortune out of pocket if I broke a leg or something but I'm having a hard time figuring out which is the best "all round" plan. If anyone out there has worked out all the details or had a good or bad experience with these plans, let me know what you would pick. Thanks for the help.

I was a carrier for almost 20 years. look at what the deductibles are. Stay away from any that have a big one. You didn't say if you are a carrier or a clerk. I was a carrier for almost 20 years. My advice to you.....keep this job until you find one which might have people who will treat you like a human being. This used to be a secure job....a carreer, more than a job. I used to love it, but then it changed & not for the better. It's all politics & less & less customer service now. If you do get hurt, they will treat you like scum. (This has been my experience)

Consider this, attempt to find a plan with the lowest deductable. In case something does happen, you wil be out of work, and another say $1500.00 will hurt you even more in the long run.
