Always record it as it allows you to better document your tech support efficiency and customer service. You want to reduce the turn-around time to a little as possible. Lets you know how good your tech support people are and if they need more/better tools, or more/better people. It gives you info on what customers seem to have trouble with what technology/software. Alerts you to whiners or people who need serious help. lol. Also, with a well documented system, you have more support behind you if someone says they called in but they didn't. And finally, so you don't forget about someone's problem.
