Hi everyone, I'm a senior in high school and I recently got the urge to become a movie stunt coordinator. I orginally wanted to become an aerospace engineer so I have a strong background in math and physics. What kind of degree would I need to be designing and building contraptions for visual effects or blowing stuff up for Mission Impossible 4 or the next James Bond? Looking online it seems other stunt coordinators have degrees that have nothing to do with the job. I think it mostly comes down to getting connections to move into the business. If anything I would think physics may be able to help you in the long run.

Get your degree in aerospace engineering. That will give you a great basis for designing airplane bomb scenes. When you finish, move your hard, resilient body to Los Angeles and pound the pavement.
