First, check if your local city requires you to have a license. Then there are some colleges that offer courses in massage therpy and a certificate at the end of the course. It is not easy. You have to learn about the various muscle groups and how they interact as well as numerous other related subjects. If you check your area for massage schools, they will have all the information you need. Chris O'Hanlon, Colorado, USA chrisohanlon@yahoo.com

Phone some massage therapy schools in your area. You will need at least a basic certification and a state license but good therapists continue to go to school to learn advanced techniques. Consumers today are pretty sophisticated about massage and healing powers - not paying $60 for just a nice experience. Beware that your license may not be good in another state so investigate the "reciprocals" where licenses are valid across state lines. Other than that you will need a table, a chair, an office, and marketing.
