What is the difference between Product Manager and Product Line Manager?
Asked by Sam
Can anybody give me some clue on this?

Best Answer:
A product manager is likely the manager of development of a particular product, maybe more than one, but like the Xenon MP-3 player.
A Product Line Manager would supervise (theoretically) product managers and be responsible for a more general category, like "Electronics" or "Appliances", or if it's a particularly large enough product line, you could be product line manager of "iPods".
A:
product manager sits between production and marketing/sales. product-line manager is responsible for manufacturing given line.. Product manager helps define new product enhancements while the line-manager keeps the product rolling off the assembly line....

A:
I believe a Product Manager is responsible for the sales of the products that he/she is in-charge of while a Product Line Manager is responsible for the manufacture/production of the products. They should both work hand-in-hand to try to achieve optimum production for the benefit of the company as a whole.
