What are the average wage for an Animal Caretaker?

Im really interested in an animal career and i think a caretaker would be best but i dont know the wages and if you can think of other really good careers PLEASE tell me. i have yet to decide for sure on my career.

I work at a veterinary , and I only make 6.25 an hour.sooo....
