I have a very strong passion for fashion. I would LOVE to have a fashion career in NEW YORK CITY. How to get an upstart?

Watch Project Runway on Bravo. Season 4 coming up soon. You might be able to find some blogs on the Bravotv.com website. Many contestants have graduated from fashion schools. Others are already in the business in some way--seamstress, tailor, or design for small clientele. One of the judges is Nina Garcia, head of fashion at Elle magazine-look that one up. Also, on the web site look for anything by or about Tim Gunn. He is head of the Parsons School in NYC.
