Career Questions and Answers

Kyle J
What careers are available for teachers?
Asked by Kyle J
I have an HR degree and did HR for 3 years. I went back to school to get a Masters in Elementary Education. Now I have taught for 3 years. I want to make much more money and find a career that is more satisfying. I got discouraged with the lack of promotion potential/bureacracy/lack of flexibility in public education. What options do I have? Corporate training? PR? Also, how do I find these jobs? I can't find anything that doesn't require tons of experience. Also, the pay hasn't been more than teaching in any of these jobs. It is frustrating.

I'd check out the Labor Market Information for your state at www.lmi.state.(your state initials).us. It will give you alot of information in regards to your question. Good luck!
