Not having a job to go back to would be a lot more depressing, especially after Christmas just 'skinted' you.

Yeh that's why i saved some holiday and stayed at home this week, would rather be spending it somewhere lovely and hot but hey better than a desolate office!

A:
lol true. at best it can be described as complete misery. still next week to look forward to?!?!
Answered by troubled joe

A:
Yes, spending the holiday with nothing to do, no one to see, no one to wish happy holidays to, knowing your phone will not ring with a friend or loved one to wish you the same, until you grow so despondant that you begin to contemplate death and beg to be allowed to work even though it is OT just so you don't hurt yourself. I'm not being rude, it happens.

nothing worse than having a boss who does'nt understand family values by opening the 3 days after xmas 8-6. they obviously have not got a good family life and would rather be at work and make others come in aswell. very very very sad if you ask me.

Yes, coming back to office after wedding!! Or after becoming parent!

Actually there are a couple of things that are worse; 1. Having to work through the holidays with full staff expectancy at a job where less than half the customers will even bother to call. Management, who often complain about the excessive wages insist on people coming in even though all they're going to be doing is watching disgusting porn videos thus infecting the computers with all kinds of shit, or they'll try to sneak a few smokes inside the building even though it's forbidden. 2. The second thing, and a lot more hazardous, would be having to be part of the American forces that are mindlessly invading Iraq. You won't get home for Christmas or any other holiday and chances are you'll probably be staying awake to make sure you're not the next one being sent home in a body bag. Personally, I'd be glad to have Christmas off and at least have a job to come into to help pay off the massive bills incurred by materialistic relatives who feel that it's a brother's or sister's "obligation" to buy more expensive toys for them and their spoiled brat children. But, after 18 years I still don't have any real seniority at my job (working for an airline), I'll still be working every holiday for quite some time to come. I love my job, but hate the materialistic values that the secular society is so addicted to. I often wonder if anyone knows the true meaning of Christmas anymore.

Masses of things. War. Disease. Famine. Getting a splinter in your eyeball. Having to listen to yet another of your dad's jazz records that all sound exactly the same. Sprouts.
