After I take the classes to become an electrician, what do I do next? What about HVAC classes?
Asked by CatfishJoe
I am going to go to a trade school that had 14 week certifications. I am going either for HVAC or Electrician. My question is, what kind of job could I get after taking these courses? What kind of salary would I be looking at?

It all depends on your location and of course what type of work you're doing (residential, commercial or industrial). Why not get involved in both? Try finding an Electro-Mechanical contractor and go work for them. They're usually busy all year around and the money is real good. In most States you don't need any license for HVAC except to handle the coolant. If you do both, you'll be at the top end of the wage scale. Not too many people out there doing HVAC & Electrical. Check out the link below, and look you'll find all the info you need for electrical. Good luck.
